About Tours by Tracy
Hello, I’m Tracy!
I've lived in Vancouver all of my adult life and was raised in British Columbia's capital city of Victoria. I love to travel, and when I return, there's always a smile on my face because I have the privilege to call Vancouver my chosen home. I’m a proud Canadian and feel blessed to have the opportunity to share my love for this city with guests who have become friends.
Tour guiding lights me up, and I'm a pro at walking tours. Over the years, I have been called "FIVE STAR TRACY," and there’s a reason for that. I thrive on connecting with people and sharing what it’s really like to live here while maximizing the incredible experiences anyone can have. I go the extra mile to make each guest feel seen, heard, and taken care of. I have hundreds of reviews from guests from all over the world that I have had the pleasure of hosting tours with.
I have a broad background working with private and corporate groups, travel industry professionals, media, and influencers. My hospitality resume includes extensive experience as a Walking Food Tour Guide, Hotel Concierge, Step-on Tour Guide, and Itinerary Planner for event planners and the travel trade industry.
Vancouver is a vibrant city with so many fun things to do, so many of my tours start with one of my listings and become personally customized for you. I love to allow guests to "Experience Vancouver Like a Local." I see this city through independent coffee shops, diverse and delicious restaurants, and a thriving micro-beverage industry. All of this is presented with the incredible, physically beautiful scenery that makes me proud to call Vancouver my home.
Exploring Vancouver's neighbourhoods on foot is one of my passions, and I am constantly thinking about how I can customize a walking tour for an area or a neighbourhood that would be a hyper-local experience. On every tour, I will share history, fun facts, and personal stories with you so you can connect the city's history with how we experience Vancouver today.
You will leave my tour with a smile on your face and a greater understanding of this beautiful city!
Looking forward to meeting you!

I am honoured to have been born in a place named by colonial settlers as Ocean Falls, British Columbia located approximately 480 km north of Vancouver. The Heiltsuk people have been stewards of these lands and waters since time immemorial, congregating to fish at the base of the falls that once descended from Link Lake directly into Cousins Inlet.
I was privileged to spend my childhood in the place Europeans called Victoria, on the southern tip of Vancouver Island in BC; it is located on the traditional territory of the Songhees Nation, a Douglas Treaty Nation they are ancestors of the Lekwungen speaking people who occupied much of Greater Victoria for thousands of years before the area was settled by Europeans. In addition to referring to their language, Lekwungen also refers to the land and means "the place where the herring fish are smoked".
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the benefits of living and working on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, including the territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, the Coast Salish Peoples have lived on this land for more than 9,000 years.
I have chosen to contribute to reconciliation through the process of learning and knowledge-sharing, I have committed to learn the traditional names for places I visit on my tours, and to refer to these places in language whenever I am hosting a tour on the lands of the Coast Salish Peoples.
