About This Tour

Let’s meet at one of the 10 Docks on False Creek and explore the communities surrounding it, including Olympic Village, Yaletown, Granville Island, Fairview and Kitsilano. Each has its own history and fun things to explore!

I customize this tour for your interests and recommend taking this tour at the beginning of your time in Vancouver. I suggest we pick three areas to explore, and happy to customize to your interests. The most popular stops are Yaletown, Olympic Village and Granville Island.

  • Yaletown is a trendy and upscale neighbourhood known for its converted heritage warehouses, stylish boutiques, and buzzing restaurants. This vibrant district offers a perfect blend of historic charm and modern sophistication, attracting locals and visitors alike.

  • Olympic Village is a waterfront community known for its modern, sustainable design and vibrant atmosphere. Originally built for the 2010 Winter Olympics, it now features shops, restaurants, parks, and stunning views of False Creek.

  • Granville Island has 300 makers working out of independent studios, and producing incredible works from many mediums. We will walk to visit different studios, parks, distilleries, shops, and stalls that are located inside of the Granville Island Public Market, and the expansive surrounding area. I recommend finishing the tour at Granville Island so that you can spend time on your own discovering the magic of this urban oasis of creativity!

Rain or shine, our tour is on! Experience the charm of "liquid sunshine" from the shelter of water taxis. Extend your adventure to include surrounding neighbourhoods or arrange tastings at local distilleries or breweries upon request.

“ If you are looking for an "infotainment expert" to help you enjoy Vancouver before or after your cruise to Alaska, Tracy Volb will exceed your expectations.”

My wife and I with four other couples visited Vancouver for a few days before taking a Princess cruise to Alaska. We had always heard that Vancouver was a great city to visit, and we were not disappointed.

My wife worked with Tracy to create a plan for us to help in fit in as much in as possible during our short visit. So before our Tour with Tracy we visited the Vancouver Lookout and the nearby Gastown - both places were an easy walk from our hotel, and it worked out great!

After we met up with Tracy, we hopped on a little ‘putt-putt boat” and visited Olympic Village, Yaletown, Fairview, Kitsilano & Granville Island. Tracy was so great at sharing the history of Vancouver and how the city has changed through the years. She also pointed out the architecture of the buildings so that we could better appreciate the many styles that make Vancouver so beautiful.

I could share so much more, but if you are looking for an "infotainment expert" to help you enjoy Vancouver before or after your cruise to Alaska, Tracy Volb will exceed your expectations. It is clear she loves Vancouver and sharing her knowledge with visitors.

“We couldn’t stop talking about Tracy after our Tour ended...”

We spent a wonderful day touring beautiful Vancouver with Tracy! Immediately upon meeting her (perfectly on time!), John and I felt like we were catching up with an old friend. Tracy clearly has a great love for Vancouver and made sure to find out what interested us. She nailed it! Our walk through the city felt random, but everywhere we went Tracy showed us unique angles of buildings and architectural features old and new.

Another lucky moment for us was when she led us into the lobby of a building that appeared closed but was, fortunately, unlocked. The "artwork" hanging in that lobby was a strange but wonderful artifact unearthed during the construction of the building. It appeared to be some large timepiece made of glass and metal and it was obviously quite old. It was fascinating!

We couldn’t stop talking about Tracy after our tour ended! It was a marvelous day with a fantastic guide; her enthusiasm, knowledge about the city, and her little secret gems gave us an "inside" look at the rich history of a great town!

Tracy is a gift, not just to Vancouver, but also to the people who visit there!
