2. Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival (June 4 – September 26, 2025)
You know it’s time for summer when you see the red and white tents appear at the stunning backdrop of Sen̓áḵw/Vanier Park. Bard on the Beach is a must-visit for theater enthusiasts & this year's festival presents 4 classic Shakespearean plays: Much Ado About Nothing, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) [revised] [again], and The Dark Lady. The open-air tents provide an intimate setting, allowing audiences to experience the timeless works of the Bard in a unique environment. Learn more and get your tickets on their website.

3. Vancouver International Jazz Festival (June 20 – June 29, 2025)
Jazz aficionados will revel in the sounds of the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. 4. Honda Celebration of Light Fireworks Competition (July 25, 29 & August 1, 2025)
One of Vancouver's most anticipated (and busiest!) summer events, the Celebration of Light is an international fireworks competition that lights up the skies over English Bay. 6. WNBA Regular-Season Game: Atlanta Dream vs. Seattle Storm (August 15, 2025)
I still miss the Vancouver Grizzly’s - basketball is my top pick to watch in person, and in a historic first, the WNBA will host a regular-season game outside the United States! The Atlanta Dream will face off with the Seattle Storm at Vancouver's Rogers Arena. This landmark event signifies the growing popularity of women's basketball and offers fans a unique opportunity to witness top-tier professional play firsthand.
